I really do not want to write this post, because there's just too much negativity in this world and I'd like to channel good vibes. But CashCashPinoy has left me with no choice. It's time to put their deceitfulness to an end.
About a month ago, I read an article concerning CashCashPinoy's untruthful travel deals. In the article, it was mentioned that 2 people bought coupons from them for an all-inclusive trip to Japan at a mere Php 20,000++ (sorry, I forgot the exact amount) from the original price of Php 40,000++. Sounds like a good deal. But the problem started when they contacted the travel agency to fix their schedules, only to find out that there are certain charges that are NOT included in the price, and those charges would mean that they'd have to pay an additional Php 20,000++! Now, where's the deal in that?!
I myself has signed up with CashCashPinoy, and has bought several deals from them. It is their regular practice to send deal promotions through email several times a week so that their customers are aware of their new deals. Look closely at the encircled area below. If you're too excited, or just not fond of reading fine prints, chances are that you won't even notice that part.
...and voila! One click and you'll see all of the non-inclusions (see encircled part below). Seems like they haven't change one bit. I called Alva Travel Corp., the travel agency listed to inquire. The guy who answered was not only unprofessional (kept on putting me on hold, talking to other people), but he was also rude and impatient. It appears that you'd have to pay an additional Php 15,000-Php20,000 for this specific travel deal (depending on your travel dates), and the visa and travel tax is not even included yet. WOW.
So what happened to those poor customers who fell into their trap, you ask? Nothing. CashCashPinoy refused their request for a refund for the reasons that it is stated in their terms and conditions that their vouchers are not valid for cash back and that the deal has been "diligently explained" to the customers. Diligently explained? I. Don't. Think. So.
I am fully aware that it is not entirely CashCashPinoy's fault. It really pays to click and read everything before forking over your hard earned cash, but my problem is that they put in the words "ALL-INCLUSIVE" and that is purely bullsh*t. (sorry!) Where I come from, all-inclusive means I don't have to pay a single cent more after I buy something. Have you ever experienced a sale wherein you're asked to pay more than the sale price at the check out counter? Hell no. NEVER put all-inclusive if it is not.
Now, it appears that the CEO of CashCashPinoy has already responded to the site that exposed their travel scam. As stated in his response to the article, he claims that DTI has approved this kind of deceit. Tsk tsk. Now where's the justice in that? Poor customers. I hope one day they get their justice. CashCashPinoy is liable and should not get away with cheating their customers. And yes, I hope this post goes viral so that more people are aware of this kind of biased practices by the so-called "deal" site.
Yes indeed cash cash pinoy is just a pure scam and hoax dealer...i bought some items for gift to my gf on her birthday, used my card and already deducted and settled, then they sent fake & damaged product! Im so ashamed that i sent it straight to my gf cause it was to be a surprise but turned out as a disaster!

ReplyDeleteWe also had the same problem when we purchased an ALL-INCLUSIVE Thailand Tour. 6,000php++ additional to the 6,000++ CCP deal after we bought the tickets.
The other problem was that we called the travel agency first before buying the tickets because we had to travel on specific dates. They told us the dates were available so we purchased the deal that evening. The next day, the dates were not. Never bought any voucher from Cashcash again.

Delete.. because I asked their help regarding the hoax posted by their travel agent but CCP protected their deal providers rather than the people who buy their deals. They told me that once you bought the ticket, you only had to deal with the agent AND NOT WITH THEM.

DeleteReally bad.. I actually just cancelled my orders.. I was planning to get this Japan deal for only abt P15k/pax.. 'ordered 4 vouchers and they were abt to deliver the vouchers today. I asked if I could pay in check, they said no, so I said ok, cash but with receipt. They said they'll give me vouchers and "not sure if it's a receipt".. Anyway, I called the travel agency to ask for their address, naninigurado lang ako, but only to be told that they won't give me their address unless I already have the vouchers with me... hell yeah.. dubious. So, I said to myself, ok fine, not meant to be. I don't want to transact with these kind of people na sa umpisa pa lang eh malabo na.... goodluck to you guys!

First incident: I was wondering about an order that was way past delivery date. What do they say? That they'd deliver at once. Yeah, like they weren't supposed to, right? This happened twice, by the way.
Second incident: I wondered about a delivery that never came (again), but this time, they just said that they were sorry they were not able to inform me that the item was no longer available. What? And they allowed me to purchase it and check out? So, I asked for a refund. They said they don't do that. Instead, they gave me store credit. Is this even fair? Sneaky thieves. I wanted to be refunded since I planned to quit subscribing to Cash Cash Pinoy. But what happens? I get stuck with them instead until my credits are consumed (even if I don't want to buy anything from them anymore). But more about this in the fourth (and hopefully last) incident below.
Third incident: I was informed that another order of mine, supposedly due for delivery between December 5 and 15, was going to be delivered on the 17th. Wow. They tell me this on Dec 2., weeks after I had placed my order. To think I had already planned to bring these on my trip, as gifts, when I leave--ON THE 16th!
Fourth incident (currently on-going): I was trying to redeem my available credits via store purchase. Of course, during checkout, an error would repeatedly come up. I contacted the online customer service (again) who gave me instructions for a workaround which never was successful. I was even asked to purchase using another device to which I said no since I only do have one device. I was fuming mad and informed customer service that I was using credits only because their company had made the mistake of selling me something that was, as it turned out, not available. I asked why they were giving me a hard time. I'm still chatting with the customer service agent as I type (and review) this entire comment. It's been THAT long already, and nothing has been resolved yet. Oh, wait, live update: I was told just now to wait 24 hours before trying to purchase again. AS IF they can ensure the availability and the attached promotional catch-on of the items in question after 24 hours.
And what's the point of doing online shopping if it's just going to be a big hassle? It defeats the purpose of online shopping. Maybe I SHOULD HAVE just gone to the mall and braved the horrible traffic. I'm sure the customer service agent is not at fault here; it's the company itself and its deceitful ways of doing business.
I give up.
All this headache in a span of 5 days. Something to ruin one's holiday. After I get the credits to work, I'm unsubscribing from Cash Cash Pinoy.
So, there you go, folks. Avoid Cash Cash Pinoy at all costs (no pun intended). Cash Cash Pinoy is very, very unprofessional, deceitful, and inconsiderate.

1) they dont put "ALL INCLUSIVE" anymore but instead they replaced it with a big "NO HIDDEN COST". Isn't that the same thing?
2) Called the travel agency ALVA TRAVEL CORP. as the merchant for the promo and she sounded VERY unprofessional. The background of the landline number i called, you could hear tricycle sounds and kids voices. Sounded like i called a sari-sari store instead of an office. When i asked for their office address, i was told "bayani road sa taguig". I asked for the specific address, but her reply was the address will be indicated in the voucher once i purchase the travel promo. This can't get any fishier than that!
I just bought a Spiral Buffet vouchers from Cashcash Pinoy but to my dismay, the vouchers that they sent me had an additional info/rules stating that there will be an additional charges if we will use the voucher during dinner time but in fact, their advertisment on their website said that the voucher is available for mon-thurs (lunch or DINNER) and fridays lunch time only.

ReplyDeleteThis is true! I bought 2 tickets SG-Malaysia-Indonesia tour for 8,888 each. Paid them in full.Then I was surprised to rceive a billing statement amounting to 18K!! The alva travel explained that the admin fee, tip, surcharges are not included in the promo. Then fine. I moved on. Bought the voucher 2013. Travel dates supposed to be was Dec 2014. Requested to move the travel date to Dec 2015 months before the original travel date. Everytime I call to follow up, they always say that they will check my records and will call me back. But they don't. They have bad service for after sales. Its august already and we still do not have confirmation about our trip. Starting to think that this is a scam because no one is assisting us.

DeleteHi there, I just filed my complaints to DTI regarding the TRI CITY amounting to 9,999 and so I bought 2 total of 19,998 and there ALVA travel billed a whooping amount of 36,000 on top of the 20,000 that I paid. Is that the kind of promo that they are advertising about? Anyway guys DTI is very accommodating so please file your complaints to DTI nearest you so that all this misdeeds will be stopped.

ReplyDeleteIts says in the title "PRIVATE DINNER". I called to make a reservation only to find out that the tables are set for 4 persons. We have to sit with strangers. Whats private about that? Dinner with people you do not know? Seriously? Who would want that? And of course until now theres still no feedback from cashcashpinoy. been emailing them and all I receive are generated replies saying that within 24 hours I will be assisted by someone on their support team. Bad service when it comes to after sales and customer support.

ReplyDeleteCash cash pinoy is a hoax. Their website says 97% customer satisfaction but their claim is false. I bought 2 kiddie chairs and tables from them and availed their cash on delivery service since I wanna make sure the items will be delivered to me before I pay.
ReplyDeleteThey delivered goods were received by the maid and upon opening the package, i found out that the foot stands were missing.
So i complained, and they said that i have to return the table top first before they will deliver the complete set. Then i sent the package back to them.
After which a few days later, another package arrived and was received again by the maid.
This time the foot stands were delivered without the table top.
They assured me that the item will be delivered within the week but nothing arrived.
When you call their customer service, they keep on pinpointing at different departments to put the blame and no resolution os presented.
Do not buy from Cash Cash Pinoy.
I ordered a skirt last October 6, 2015 but they only delivered me a voucher and until now they haven't delivered it. I asked for a refund but they did not give it. SUCH A SCAMMER!!!!! FULL OF FRAUD!!!!!! I WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN AT CASH CASH PINOY!!!!!!!!!!! EVER!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI had an experience with CCP, purchased an MK bag, and it turns out to be fake. I asked for refund, nothing happened. I also purchased one of the travel deals, from Alva Travel Corp, they are legit travel agency, but that's all. Everything else in their service sucked.
ReplyDeleteJust to add in the CCP's procedure of , say, being a middleman from suppliers, I have tried to become a supplier for them. I have met one of their staff (or employees at least) to discuss the procedures, payments etc. This didn't push through though, but what I have found out is that there are no procedures to check the authenticity of the supplier's products. They just seem to take your word for it that it's authentic.

Has anyone tried the Booking Guarantee Agreement?
ReplyDeleteI ordered last March 16 about their Azure Weekday Travel Promo. Looking at their Booking Guarantee it's worth a shot to try if my travel date is available.
Unfortunately, the date wasn't. Gave them 3 dates and nothing was available. I asked Grace from Booking Team that I will refund under the Booking Guarantee and told me to contact Support Team.
After telling them about it, Karen, the one in charge of my ticket (issue) kept on closing it. She wasn't giving any reply, she just closes the ticket.
I tried calling their number but there was like dial up tone only.
If she still closes my ticket and not responding, I'm planning on going to their main office.
Who else experienced this issue?

DeleteHi to all who've had an unfortunate experience with Alva Travel. Know that you are not alone. So far there's 6 of us in FB and we're planning to already file a complaint against them in DTI. The good news is, this doesn't have to be a grand EB or anything because we can email our complaints to DTI. Yes, EMAIL and they promised to work on it within 10 working days upon receipt of our letter of complaints. So here's the thing, we have a better fighting chance if DTI receives A FLOOD of complaints. So I'm here to encourage you all to join us and FLOOD THEM. I don't think it's CCP who's entirely at fault, they are just a 3rd party, the promo is still entirely fed by Alva Travel. They just have this bad habit of being too trusting when it comes to vendors. Thanks! :)

DeleteHow to complain against Alva Travel? Also purchased the Nagoya-Osaka 5-day deal for my parents from CCP last March and paid the total amount of 30,000+. I contacted them last May to inform them that the preferred travel will be on 3rd qtr this year and to send me the billing for surcharges. I informed them to exclude charges for the airlines since my parents have e-cert (free flight) from DeltaAirlines. Come July, no feedback yet from them, I followed them up since only 2mos left for the prep of the travel and gave them the final dates. I was informed that their 5-day Japan tour was replaced by their 6-day travel deal (which made me a little worried due to the additional expenses we will incur), I have no choice but to take the new itinerary since I know that purchasing the voucher from CCP is non-refundable. Lo and behold received the billing amounting to US$543.40 (including surcharge rate, extra night, tour guide tipping) and PHP9100 (terminal fee, travel insurance, visa processing). Initially, I was shocked of the total billing and asked them if they can reduce the jampacked tour since my parents get tired easily and they're just happy to be in a new surroundings/ ambience. July 28, Ms. Angela of Alva Travels promised to send the new quotation on Jul 30 (Saturday). Jul 29, received a message via Viber reminding me that they will send the quotation tomorrow that day. On Jul 30, 5pm, I made a follow up via Viber and got a reply on Jul 31 that the quotation will be sent on Aug 1 instead. I waited for it and come Aug 2 I made a follow up again via Viber and still got no reply. To my irritation, I sent them a complaint and viber screenshots (copying all the user accts I encounterd from their team) for being so unresponsive. I even tried to call them but still I got no answer to this day.
DeleteHI Orville, that also happened to me, 4D3N Nagoya became 5D4N Osaka and expenses piled up. We still went thru with it but we encountered so many problems like no hotel booking, no land transfers, etc. So to be honest I just wish you read up on reviews we've posted online to warn people against Alva Travel because they have this habit of "upgrading" as a cause to extra charge us. Seems DTI is yet to do appropriate actions because our complaints are still not decided upon by their Adjudication division. It's a sad sad thing if you ask me but hey, there's dial an 8888 for government agencies not doing their job. Let's just wait and see. On the bright side, if you availed via Cash cash, they "might" refund on the grounds that it's Alva Travel who's unable to fulfill their end of the deal. My sister and I bought a package for 2 to Sydney in 2014 and submitted all the requirements on time. In fact, my dad's passport and other documents have been with them for more than a year now. They kept accommodating us even after the expiration date though. They even told us it would still be valid even after then. I keep going to their place to follow up because it's already been 2 years. To my shock, they told me just last month that it's no longer valid! After all the hassles of going to their office back and forth since nobody responds in Viber and email. Not to mention the money. I think for each person, we paid 27000 to cashcash and 30000+ hidden charges on top of that!

DeleteDTI ruled in my favor, thank you for the good luck because it worked. Apparently they don't think I'm a sham like you are. Here's the thing, I think you're a legit agency but you're way over your heads. The first Dubai trip I took with you went without a hitch but it's when you didn't deliver properly for my Japan trip that destroyed your stance. Each case is different from each other, but I hope you start delivering better services, otherwise you'll just find yourself drowning in complaints. God is good and people in DTI are just being fair, straight and doing their job.
For my co-complainants or soon to be complainants, make sure you give a good statement/narrative and your circumstances is fair. Not being able to pay for the fare difference is not grounds (depends on the situation). Not getting approved for VISA is also not grounds (depends on the situation). Point is, let's be fair. So in case Angela Tan you misunderstood me, what I'm saying is not libelous, I'm merely stating that we all have to play fair. It's not about us against ATC, it's also about us paying the right amount and on time for the services that is promised. That's how business should be and is done.
I'm also in the process of filing a petition for DTI-Promotions to stop approving travel promos that has too many hidden charges. This way we can all be aware of what we're getting. Napatigil na ang PISO FARE sa mga airlines line of promotions, it's only fair that type of misleading promotions be stopped as well for travel agencies who seek to take advantage of unwitting customers who just want to travel.
For those who want to travel, let's all stick to our tried and true travel agencies that we all know. I won't mention names anymore but you know them as Uni-Orient or Rakso or Panda. After all this, cheap is just not worth all this trouble.

Encouraging people to seek government help can never be construed as extortion as I have nothing to gain. Considering you threatened me with a libel case, I should sue you instead for accusing me of extortion and fraud. In the first place, extortion happens when one takes undue advantage of another. I've never gotten anything from you except HEADACHES. I have material proof that you didn't pay for my hotel in OSAKA and no booking in NAGOYA (which you claim was the hotel's mistake). There were no transfers as promised in our travel deal. BUT I PAID IN FULL. So tell me, who's the fraud and extortionist in this scenario? People have the right to know of their rights. What I'm doing can only be called free PR for DTI-FTEB, nothing more.

For our travel deals, we are giving the buyers the chance to have like a downpayment to the package itself then negotiate to us or other Travel Merchant how much is the additional depending on the date or season of the travel destination, if they want the lowest so we give the farther date options of course.
Even Cebu pac other airline have PISO FARES so the dates are more than 6 months to the date of departure validity.

I also want to file a complaint against Alva Travel/ATC flags travel direct.
ReplyDeleteThey wont let us refund a voucher + surcharge + Italy package we bought but never used and assured us that it will be used as a travel fund. As early as December I tried to book for a Bangkok trip but it never materialized. They were ignoring my viber messages and calls.
And now my mother & a cousin are using the travel fund for tickets to US. My mother informed Angela Tan last October 29 that she wanted to travel on February 6, and Angela Tan confirmed the date and even quoted for a price. I am aware that our travel fund amounts to Php 142k plus ( voucher 58,999.00, surcharge 52,888.00, Italy 35,088 )
I was surprised when Angela Tan said that whats left in our travel fund was only 87,976.00!
Now, where is the 58,999.00 gone?
It was hard earned money and Angela Tan just dont get that.
Maybe she's filthy rich that she doesnt care where her money goes.
Buying the vouchers from CCP was a mistake!
It has brought me headaches dealing with Angela Tan. She has no PR. She's irresponsible and definitely has no breeding.
File your case to DTI-FTEB. Email them ftebmediation@dti.gov.ph, they will reply within 3-5 working days. You can call them to follow up: 9757965. Respondent should be Lizette Alvarro & Angela Tan (If she really exists) Business address of Alva Travel is 4C Ana Building, Bayani Road, AFPOVAI (AFP Compound), Taguig City.

I've already won my case against them but they're moving around to escape from having to pay up. I encourage everyone who has just cause to file their complaints with DTI Mediation.

This is very true.ganito rin ang ginawa nila sakin.Bumili ako ng voucher for 2 trip to Japan 2 years ago.Hanggang ngayon di namin nagamit dahil puro kasinungalingan ang sinasabi nila.puro paasa.sinabihan ako ng magprocess na daw ako ng mga req.for visa tapos nung nagawa ko na ako ang panay follow up sa kanina.panay chat ko at tawag sa kanila pero wala silang maisagot.puro kasinungalingan.hanggang tinanggal nila ako sa group chat.sayang ng perang pinambayad ko sa kanila.sayang ng tiwalang binigay ko sa kanila.sana wala ng maloko itong Alva Travel.
