Outfit of the Week: I'm A Dork

Presenting... the ever famous "DORK"  t-shirt.  If you're a regular blog reader, you might have seen this shirt a couple hundred times in other blogs, together with some of its siblings "GEEK" or "DWEEB".  Well, this is my version of it.  For a casual look, I paired it with floral harem pants and my beloved Jeffrey Campbell spiked flats!  It's weird but I'm loving harem pants in this stage of my life right now.  It's comfy, without being restricting like leggings or skinny jeans.  Still on the lookout for the ultimate harem pants though... the ones that have the crotch about 2 inches above the ground, that is!  So dear readers, if you find one, do let me know!  I'll be eternally grateful!

Miss M's 2013 Hong Kong Shoe Finds

A girl can't have too many shoes.  How many times have we all heard that?  Confession:  I can never, ever resist a good pair of shoes.  As long as they look good or cute, I'll snap it up!  So now, after all those food posts, now comes the shopping post.  After all, Hong Kong is Asia's ultimate shopping destination!  Let me share with you guys some of my amazing shoe finds during our trip!

Jeffrey Campbell
How can you go wrong with studs and see through shoes?  Answer?  You don't!  Hubby was the one who actually saw this.  Knowing my love for anything special and weird, he excitedly called me up and told me he had something to show me.  True enough, I fell in love with this pair the moment I saw it.  The bad thing is, the store didn't have my size so I had to travel 12 subway stops (to and from) in 30 minutes and run like a madwoman to get it.  Tsk tsk, the things us girls do for shoes!

Jeffrey Campbell
This one came as a bonus.  No, it's not free (how I wish).  Rather, while I was getting the other pair above (first photo), I saw this one and liked it so much that I got it too!  At least the loooong subway trip wasn't for nothing, I hit two birds with one stone!  The details might look very much alike with the first one, but they will never, ever be mistaken for the same shoe.

Adidas x Jeremy Scott
Ah, Jeremy Scott.  The mastermind behind out of this world, wonderfully weird shoes.  He really does pay great attention to detail.  Just look at it.  Saw this pair during our previous trip, but didn't think much about it.  It was when we finally got back that I regretted so much for not buying it.  Good thing we had another trip coming!  This pair was the first thing I looked for when our plane landed in Hong Kong!  Still trying to figure out what outfit to wear with it though... LOL.

Bass x Rachel Antonoff

Now this pair was my extra last minute purchase.  Literally half an hour before we boarded the train to the airport!  I was actually looking for another pair and chanced upon this one.  Ultimate.  Shoe.  Lust.  It's like wearing nothing!  All I did was hope that they have it in my size.  And finally when  the shoe guy came out with a box, I can't thank the shoe gods enough!

So what do you guys think?  Amazing huh?  The most amazing part is, I got all of them on sale!  Yep, didn't pay full price for any of the shoes here.  Cool huh?  I'm in loooove with these new pairs.  Can't wait to take them all out for a spin!

Oh and before I forget, there's one extra special pair that I think deserves its own post.  Curious?  Do watch out for my next post!

Outfit of the Week: Sugar and Spice

Sugar: Floral Top.  Spice:  Leatherette Skirt.  Still dreaming about this ensemble that I put together during Independence Day.  I've had this skirt since April but just couldn't figure out what to pair it with.  I'm such a sucker for anything and everything leather, so when I saw this in the racks, I knew I just had to have it.  It was marked down at 60% off too!  What a great steal!  Monki is such a great brand.  It's not your typical clothing store.  Notice their clothing is quite eccentric, something out of the norm but just as awesome.  See my other Monki outfit posts here and here.  Oh how I wish Monki would open a store here soon so that I don't have to fly out every time I get a Monki craving!

Outfit of the Week: Rainbow Leopard

Here's what I wore to the VIP opening of SM Aura at the Fort.  With the media/bloggers all buzzing about the opening, who doesn't know about it, right?  Wasn't actually planning on going, but last minute changes to my schedule allowed me to do so and boy, was I glad I went!  Why?  Three words:  Sarah Jessica Parker!!!  Yes, I finally got a glimpse of the woman behind the Sex and the City fame (confession:  I still can't get over the fact that SATC has already ended so now I started watching The Carrie Diaries and got hooked!).

Anyway, on to my outfit!  Had a few errands that day so I didn't want to get all dressed up, but I wanted to look like I made an effort.  So what to do?  I went for the rock-chic look.  These pair of Jeffrey Campbells have been sitting in my shoe closet for the longest time and was I ever glad I brought them out to the opening!  Why?  Because there were soooooo many people vying for a chance to see SJP and I wouldn't be able to see her if I'm in flats!  Got to shop a bit too! (My poor, poor wallet)  Oh what a memorable day that was.

So has anyone here shopped or window shopped at SM Aura yet?  If not, then let me tell you that it's one of the chicest SM Malls I've been to.  DO check them out!
