Outfit of the Week: Furry Friend

Isn't it exciting when you go out of the country and find one perfect piece that completely makes up your outfit?  This happened to me, and my one perfect piece is this fur vest.  Actually, I've already seen this exact fur vest in our local Forever 21 store, loved it a lot, but thought to myself "how on earth am I going to wear that out in a hot and humid country like ours?!"  So I let it go.  It was a good thing the opportunity presented itself while we were in Tokyo and I saw the vest again.  Let me tell you, the fur was sooooo soft and silky, I couldn't stop touching myself!  Even Hubby too! (ok you people with dirty minds, couldn't stop touching the FUR ok? LOL!)  So yes, no regrets in getting my fur vest, even if I only got to wear it once.  I'm sure there'll be more trips on colder climates soon, and you can bet I'll be bringing it along!  xoxo

...and this, my friends, marks the end of my Tokyo series this January 2015.  Now, back to regular programming!

Outfit of the Week: Laidback

It's been a while since I've posted an outfit post.  Blame it on the lazy me.  LOL!  This week's outfit is what I call laidback.  Ever get those days wherein you just want to chill but do not want to look frumpy while doing it?  Here ya go!  A simple top paired with a simple pair of chinos plus a bit of bling equals a relaxed yet totally appropriate look.  If you ask me where I could possibly wear this out, then I'd say:

1.  Shopping
2.  A kid's (or a grownup's!) birthday party
3.  Lunch (or even casual dinner) out with friends
4.  Weekend getaway/out of town

See?  So versatile!  The key to the outfit is the chinos.  I love how it's relaxed, yet it gives off a not-so-casual vibe.  So friends, to you I say find the perfect pair of chinos and hoard, hoard, hoard!

Outfit of the Week: Prep in my Step

For those who know me well enough, then you'd know that preppy is not how you'd describe my style.  But even if that's the case, I'm also willing to explore and step out of my comfort zone.  It was a good thing I did!  Because I enjoyed wearing this preppy outfit so much, I went out and shopped for more!  LOL.  Noticed my shoes?  It's the return of the see-through oxfords!  I'm so in love with this pair - it's not your average pair of oxfords.  And since I'm constantly on the lookout for something different, this is definitely me.  The bag, on the other hand, is the result of a Macau shopping spree.  I couldn't say no when the salesperson took it out fresh from the box.  I love how the color pops, and how the style is so functional.  I can definitely bring it to trips abroad!  Like my outfit?  Comment below please! :)

Outfit of the Week: Colorblock

I've been fascinated by the colorblock trend for quite some time now, but never got to try it out.  This week, finally threw together some solid colors and voila!  Colorblocking.  Or as Hubby would say, it's my minion outfit.  Yep, didn't realize that I looked like a minion with my yellow top and blue shorts, but to be compared to a minion, I think it's quite cute.  Despicable Me 1 and 2 are my favorites and it never gets tiring even if you watch it several times, or several hundred times!

Special mention to my shoes.  They're one of the most comfortable pairs I've worn, ever!  Can you guess where I got them?  Payless ShoeSource!  Such a steal too since they're having a buy-two-pairs-for-Php 1250 promo.  Amazing.  I think the promo is still ongoing now so better run to your nearest Payless store and get your shoe fix!

Outfit of the Week: Sporty Chic

It's been a week now since we came back from Hong Kong, and I've missed it from the time we landed here in Manila until now.  The shopping, the food, the weather.... aaaaahhh!!!  Admittedly, the weather in the Philippines is now becoming colder, but it's nothing compared to the aircon-weather in Hong Kong.  Of course I had to take advantage of it!  Jackets, check!  Tights, check!  I've always envisioned myself wearing tights, but it's just too hot and humid in our country to do so, so a trip to cold Hong Kong gives me the perfect excuse to whip out my cold-weather outfit.  Notice my skirt?  It caught my eye during one of my endless trips to Forever 21 (I swear, they have EVERYTHING!).  The fabric is just sooo nice with the floral appliques and all that I didn't even try it on.  I just grabbed it and went straight to the counter.  Biggest surprise:  it turns out that I grabbed the skirt from the 50%+50% off rack and can you guess how much I got this amazing skirt for?  *drumroll please*  Php 259.50!!!  *faints*  I almost did a happy dance right at the counter but the cashier might give me a weird look and the other customers might think I'm a loony so I just did the happy dance in my mind.  LOL.  Didn't want to look too girly with the 3D flowers on my skirt, so I topped it off with a sporty jacket to give off that sporty chic vibe.  How do you like it?
